James Kopp has more than 20 years of experience within senior management positions within both private and public institutions of higher education.  He served as Chief housing officer at the University of Maine at Machias then as assistant and associate Dean at Keuka College.  In this role Jim secured one of the largest grants ever awarded by the fund for the Improvement of post-secondary Education and developed an Innovative model for harm reduction as related to student alcohol and drug abuse.  Jim then served as associate dean at Knox College and from there went on to serve as dean and then vice president at Green Mountain College.  His last position was as executive director for institutional advancement at Union College – Albany College of Pharmacy.

In his varied roles within higher education James was very involved in association management serving as vice president of the New York, Illinois and Vermont chapters of the American College Personnel Association and served as a senior reviewer for federal grants administered by the US Department of Education and the US Department of Justice and was a speaker at both Regional National and International higher educational conferences.

As a consultant, Jim Directed The $125 million Capital campaign for the system of Education in the Archdiocese of St Louis and developed and implemented an alumni engagement program for over a million alumni attending Catholic high schools in nine diocese and Archdiocese.  Additionally he developed and implemented the annual programs of more than 30 state and private colleges to include American University, Catholic University of America, the State University of New York at Albany, the State University of New York at Oneonta, Union College, among others.
