Justine Morgan brings over 15 years of experience in both the private and non-profit sectors and is recognized for leading impactful initiatives, fostering pivotal partnerships and fueling strategic growth. Known for her unparalleled stewardship, identifying value-added opportunities and surpassing philanthropic goals, Justine enjoys supporting non-profits in reaching their full potential.
Before joining Ruotolo Associates, (RA) Justine launched her own consulting organization dedicated to helping nonprofits strengthen revenue generation strategies, systemizing fundraising, and supporting young professionals in the industry. This endeavor was born out of recognizing the talent shortage in fundraising and seeking ways to support leadership during times of transition.
Previously, Justine led the Donor Services department at Community Foundation of Broward, one of the top 100 Community Foundations in the country. She managed a client portfolio of over $144M in philanthropic funds and $50M in legacy gifts and advised high-net-worth individuals, family foundations, and corporations on how to amplify their philanthropy. This role afforded her the opportunity to understand donor’s giving strategies. Serving as the connective tissue, she partnered with over 300 nonprofits to match their needs to donor’s intentions and helped secure multi-year gifts.
As Vice President of Capital and Government Relations at Habitat for Humanity of Broward, Justine led the organization in capturing major gifts for new communities, constructing a government relations department, and securing the public and private funding for some of Broward’s largest affordable housing developments. She partnered with many faith-based organizations and their leadership in an effort to align their ministry with local needs and engage their congregation in the affordable housing crisis. Justine’s efforts led to the largest donation of land received in the organization’s history.
Having worked on the front lines of the non-profit world and certified as a Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE), Justine understands the challenges facing today’s fundraising professionals and board. She enjoys sharing her in-depth knowledge of donor stewardship, partnership development and philanthropic vehicles like donor-advised funds and legacy gifts. Her success in the world of government relations supports clients seeking to pursue new funding opportunities outside of traditional philanthropy. Justine enjoys leveraging her nonprofit and foundation knowledge so organizations can continue to provide the much-needed impact our evolving community demands.
A Florida native, Justine graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and Management. She serves as Board Chair for Boys Town South Florida and leads a book club at her local senior center. She is a graduate of the Urban Land Institute’s Leadership Academy and was appointed by U.S. Representative Moskowitz to serve on the Broward County’s Affordable Housing Advisory Committee.
