Major gifts are a key component in successful capital campaigns and sustained advancement. RA’s counsel includes drafting individual solicitation strategies, cultivation, and acknowledgment plans for ongoing engagement.

RA has trained thousands of staff and volunteers throughout the United States in the solicitation of major gifts, applying best practices to maximize potential. Our philosophy is to build on an individual’s communication style and allow them to feel comfortable expressing the key elements that make for an effective solicitation. RA provides specific instructions on how the prospective donor is asked, when, where, by whom, the amount, as well as the value of effective follow-up.
