Andrew Leary
Ruotolo Associates

Andrew feels fortunate that his entire 25-year career has been in the nonprofit arena. He is a dedicated leader, fundraiser, and marketing expert having served a variety of education/religious and healthcare organizations. Andrew is proud to have known George Ruotolo for twenty years and has worked with him and his staff on three separate projects over the years.

Andrew has a broad range of experience leading religious schools in Manhattan and Brooklyn. He has a reputation for successfully cultivating and growing relationships with alumni, foundation officers, corporate leaders, and other constituencies throughout his career. Those very individuals will attest to his personal integrity, highly professional attitude, record of success, and engaging personality.

Over the past twelve years Andrew has served as Vice President of Advancement at Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School, the first Diocesan school in Brooklyn/Queens. Over that span, he directed several successful capital campaigns and increased major giving by more than 50%. He is proud of his strong record of fundraising achievement including multiple gifts above $100,000. His focus on planned gifts has led to a dramatic increase in estate plan commitments in recent years.

Prior to that, Andrew led the Foundation of a national nursing education organization in lower Manhattan for several years. He has also spent time raising funds for the Alzheimer’s Association and a college in Brooklyn.

Throughout his career, he has also written many successful grants, coordinated dozens of special events, recruited board members, managed volunteers, annual fund campaigns, annual reports, alumni magazines, and more.

Andrew currently serves on a fundraising planning committee to establish a new Lasallian College in Kenya. Several years ago, he also prepared a report to open a new intermediary school in Bangladesh. He enjoys unique challenges!

Andrew earned a B.A. in Public Relations from Xavier University in Ohio (1995), and graduated summa cum laude at Milano, the New School with an MA in Nonprofit Management (2012). Andrew lives in Cliffside Park, NJ, with his wife, Kathleen, and twin 4-year-olds Maximilian and Evangeline. He loves biking, sports of all sorts, and most of all spending time with his family.
